INTRODUCING EVENTS AT INNIS & GUNN HQ
By Leila Kean
Hi everyone! Well, it’s been a long journey to get here. Refurbishing two floors of a townhouse sounds straightforward…’til you factor in the challenges of working within a period ‘A’ listed building, installing a kitchen, ventilation, reinstating fireplaces and all their associated works!
As this is our brand home, you’ll find more than one or two nods to the Innis & Gunn story dotted around, from the cask in the entrance hallway, to the feature mural with illustrated brewing timeline and our bespoke oak bar and cabinetry. We worked with an extremely creative team from Contagious Design who helped us get these ‘design-y’ touches just right, and of course making sure the end result was the perfect combination of eye-catching and comfy!
Ticketed Tastings and Events
And just as excitingly, our events page is now LIVE on the site! This will be the go-to place to find out what’s happening event-wise here at Innis & Gunn HQ.
Our series of ‘Innis & Gunn introduces…’ events take place on the 1st Tuesday of the month. We know that beer goes brilliantly with certain types of food, and we’re delighted to be teaming up with some of Scotland’s finest food producers and suppliers for these events. So far we’ve watched chocolate and beer magic happen with Edward & Irwyn and our next event with Crombie’s Butcher sold out in less than a week!
Keep an eye out for future events with Macsween, Peelham Farm, Cocoa Black, Auchentoshan and more!
Soon we hope to be running more regular tasting events at weekends, and a series of ticketed ‘meet the brewer’ dinners too. All events will be posted on the events page.
Food glorious food!
We’re not just fussy about the quality of our beers here at I&G! We also have a real passion for the best in seasonal, delicious ingredients in our kitchen. Our chef Russellhas been working with us to develop some incredibly tempting menus. We have a knack of being able to pair our beers perfectly with all types of food including desserts and fantastic farmhouse cheeses.
If you like the sound of Dornoch lamb, hand-dived West Coast scallops and fillet of Buccleuch beef, you’ll definitely like the taste of the ingredients our chef is working with. And if you’re looking for something a little more casual, naturally we make a mean Innis & Gunn steak and ale pie too and home-made Macsween haggis Scotch eggs too!
Private Events and Hospitality
Our events spaces are also available for private and corporate bookings. We have a capacity for up to 60 guests and a choice of rooms for drinks receptions, tutored beer tastings and private dining (max 24),board meetings (max 16) and informal gatherings in the ‘Beer Kitchen’ which is our very own draft beer sample cellar.
For more information regarding corporate events, hospitality , private dining and tastings, please email us on firstname.lastname@example.org or call the events team on Tel: 0131 220 7230
