DRIVING? CHOOSE INNIS & NONE

Scotland’s new lower drink drive limit will be coming into force this Friday (5 December 2014). As we're a responsible bunch here at Innis & Gunn, we thought this presented a fantastic opportunity for us to remind drivers across the world that when it comes to drinking and driving, the best approach is none.

To do just that, we've worked with the Scottish Government to come up with a fun re-imagining of our Lager labels - Innis & None! We'll also be lending our support to a marketing campaign from the Scottish Government and Road Safety Scotland as we urge the pub-going public not to drink and drive. With the festive season fast approaching, we want revellers to plan ahead when it comes to their travel home from a night out and any journeys the morning after.

Although we won't actually be changing the labels on our bottles, Scottish drinkers can expect to see Innis & None bar mats hitting their local pubs and bars soon, and the mock-ups will feature as part of the Scottish Government’s national programme of public engagement events.

Dougal Sharp, our Founder, Master Brewer and CEO said: “We feel it’s important to help spread the word that the new drink drive limit is so low that even one drink risks pushing you over the legal limit.

“In supporting this initiative we want to prompt people to think and act differently; whether it’s getting on a bus, jumping in a taxi, calling Scoot or having a designated driver. Just make sure you plan ahead, be safe, and let the good times roll.”

Scotland’s new lower limit is 50mg of alcohol in every 100ml of blood, down from 80mg of alcohol in every 100ml of blood, so don't forget: if you're getting behind the wheel, the best choice you can make at the bar is none at all.
