Digger's New Digs
09 Oct 2018
On the 7th September, we landed in Glasgow’s Argyle St Arches, extending the fourth arch which now houses our onsite brewery and has extended the capacity of the venue by around 250. The bar has our full range of barrel-aged and craft brewed beers, including three 5 hectolitre beer tanks serving the freshest pint of Innis & Gunn Lager straight from the brewery.
Our Resident Brewer in Argyle Street Arches is Jonathan ‘Digger’ Robinson, who you may recall from our Behind The Beers post a while ago, who was also awarded Emerging Brewer of the Year at the Scottish Beer Awards in September. He is busy creating a range of ‘Arch Brews’, exclusive beers which will only be available at Argyle St Arches. The first two were a coconut stout and New England IPA – both of which went down an absolute storm.
Our Founder and Master Brewer, Dougal Gunn Sharp, said: “We have been big fans of what the team at Argyle St Arches have been building since the venue reopened, so it’s amazing to now be a central part of the journey at what is definitely one of the most exciting venues in Scotland right now.
The space is stunning, it’s exactly what we wanted it to be when we had initial conversations about the project a number of months ago, and we’re looking forward to showing the people of Glasgow what we have to offer. We’re particularly excited about the new brewing facility, so make sure you stay up to date with our exclusive Arch brews as you won’t want to miss any.”
The bar is open alongside Platform at Argyle St Arches at the times below:
• Friday - 12pm-Midnight
• Saturday – 12pm-Midnight
• Sunday – 12pm-6pm
Hopefully see you there for a pint soon!
