This Canada Day, Innis & Gunn proudly celebrates a milestone - 20 years since we first brought our beer to Canada.
Back in 2005, we couldn’t have imagined the journey ahead. Over two decades, we’ve grown to know and love Canada - its people, its culture, and its spirit of generosity - add have forged a lasting bond with a country that embraced us wholeheartedly.
To mark the occasion, we’ve brewed a Limited Edition ruby red ale, crafted exclusively for Canada Day. Matured with Cherrywood seasoned in Canadian rye whiskey and finished with a hint of maple syrup, this beer is rich, complex, and unmistakably celebratory. It’s our way of saying thank you - a brew full of flavour and heart, just like the country that inspired it.
From its deep copper hue to its aromas of red fruit and sweet malt, every detail of this ale is meant to be savoured. With bold flavours of cherry and maple syrup and a mellow, warming finish, it’s best enjoyed ice cold, shared with friends, and paired with classic Canadian dishes.
As our founder, Dougal Gunn Sharp, puts it: “Canada gave us our first big break outside Scotland, and we’ve never looked back. This beer is a thank you – bold, generous, and full of flavour, just like the people it was brewed for. If I could bottle gratitude, it would taste like this.”
